The air-conditioning in the room could have been stronger, especially during the cool nights of my January visit. It would have been nice to have a heater available as well.

Quaint brick building, charming with green shutters and clay pots. A stone patio offers a somewhat relaxing spot. There's even a bar that "sometimes" serves drinks.

I chose Fidene Hotel because it was conveniently located near the landmark I wanted to visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the additional amenities offered, such as a television in the lobby and tour/ticket assistance. The hotel shuttle that takes guests into the center of Rome was a great convenience. The surrounding area may be industrial, but having a deli and a restaurant nearby made it easy to find dining options. I also appreciated the nice touches in the hotel, such as the hanging mirrors and wrought-iron bed frames.

Minor issues included a problematic bidet for cleaning, limited hot water, a room with a view of a neighboring building's wall, and a slight stink in the room, possibly due to old equipment. The minibar did not work and emitted an unpleasant smell when opened.
